Ben Cook-Feltz is a singer, songwriter, drummer and self-taught pianist. As a youngster, he’d watch Godzilla movies and figure out the music. Then he moved on to Nintendo scores, and now his music is like “Paul Simon singing piano ballads about broken hearts, and pants, to thunderous percussion.” He has an off-beat, sly sense of humor, and once played a show while being fed molten-hot pizza by a drunk woman.
Ben plays all over town. He’s a dynamic guy, whether performing solo, playing with his recent bride Mother Banjo, or in ensemble. He’s from Iowa – like most of the good things in life. You should check him out.
This video is a couple of years old, recorded on the best couch we’ve seen.
