Stations of the Cross: Re-imagining a Cultural Jesus

Good Friday, April 19th, 7pm, with artists reception to follow

Artists to interpret the 14 traditional Stations of the Cross for, Re-imagining a Cultural Jesus, a liturgical exhibition and will serve as the basis for the Stations of the Cross service.

Artists engaged with existing mass market reproductions of Warner Sallman’s 1940, Head of Christ, or similar work.  Head of Christ sold more that 500 million copies. It was so pervasive that Billy Graham is said to have called it, “About as close to a photograph of Jesus as your gonna get.”
