Is “The Gas Stations of the Cross” more than just a clever name? Could it be drawing parallels between the torture of Mother Earth as a result of our addiction to fossil fuels and the torture and crucifixion of our lord Jesus Christ?
That might be a stretch. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere between the two– somewhere between a funny name and environmental allusion.
